Give us some input here!

Lake Chippewa Lodge agreed to rent for $3700 for 16 people and $175 per person over 16.  It is a big question mark how many of the older kids might come...

Balsam Lake can only have 8 people.
I'll take the lake information for Balsam and Woodland off the list.

Steve says:  Lake Chippewa Lodge is his and Maggie's first choice, Big Sandy and Cedar Lake are tied for 2nd, but he has concerns about the Deer Runs for Cedar Lake.  He thinks Lake Lizzie would be okay, no particular comments on Blackduck or Leech Lake.
The dates for Woodland won't work for him.

Dave says he likes Chippewa Lodge -- good fishing in the Chippewa flowage, lots of room.  Ok fishing for pike, smallmouth and bass close in; about 6 miles away (by boat), fishing is very good.
Big Sandy -- He likes the house a lot, but there is no beach/swimming.  The lake is heavily developed and heavily fished.  It is a walleye lake.
Cedar Lake -- No, unless we look at it first.(Deer Run potential to be investigated.)
Leech Lake -- Too close to resort and town, no privacy.
Blackduck -- Not sure he wants to be at a resort.
Lake Lizzie -- For some reason, he just doesn't care for this one.

Lake Chippewa Lodge seems okay, lots of room
     $3700 for 16 people
White Birch Resort, Blackduck Lake -- Resort setting may not be bad
    -- pool, lots of beach, etc.  Our cabin would be to the side
     Not a lot of room
     $3700 w/o hot tub is good price
Big Sandy seems really nice
     On river, but lots of places to go
     turns out it would be $5000 for 7 nights -- expensive
Lake Lizzie looks okay
     $3900 is good price
Cedar Lake may have too much character?

      2 lakes, 2 beaches
      2 bedrooms only have twin beds (3 of them)
      7th bedroom in room which is an office with pullout bed and a bathroom
Leech Lake, Walker is right in town
     $4200
     7 bedrooms
     Associated with resort, but 3 cottages away from resort

Sue loves Big Sandy but thinks Lake Chippewa is the best choice
